Boiling point of two liquids READ BELOW!?

i was given two unknown liquids in science and i boiled them. One had a plateau of about 49.8 deg C and the other was 80.0 Deg c. when i fractually distilled them so i could seperate them, my first plateau was over so i siwtched the rubber tubing into test tube 2. i picked up test tube 1 to see how much liquid was in it and there was DROP! NOTHING! so then i freaked out so i poured it back into the liquid and started over again. when i boiled it, it didn't even go to the plateau and just shot all the way up to the second plateau! HELP ME PLEASE
