I have a realtor friend who's fascinated by the double eagle eyed wiffle bird. What TV would best display it?

He is looking to get ideally an LCD TV to best display the beauty of this bird, as shown on National Geographic and the many other DVD collections he has purchased over the years on the subject. Would you agree that LCD is the way to do and also, is it a fact that when speaking of an LCD TV it means that the TV is less than 6 inches thick? Any guidance is greatly appreciated here.
