I don't know what to do or how to handle this please help.?

I have been with the same guy for almost three years and he just recently told me that he thinks we may not be right together. His reason is because he says we always fight and are going to end up divorced like his parents. We dont fight very often but because of his parents relationship I am scared of a number of things, that he wont ever be able to ask me to marry him, that he will end up like his cynical father, and that I am going to end up changing to make things work. I love our relationship right now, we travel all over the world together and basically do everything for eachother. I just dont know if I should end this because he has an irrational fear or because maybe he is too much like his father and I will end up like his mother...
