Can Mono and Polyunsaturated fats trigger a gallstone attack?
I have gallstone attacks that occur only when I eat too many Saturated Fats in one day. My understanding is that the gallbladder, which stores bile, contracts to release and send the bile through the biliary duct to the small intestine to breakdown fatty foods when they're ingested. Because I have many gallstones, when the gallbladder released bile, a gallstone can also p through the biliary duct which cause extreme pain. My question is: Why do I only experience a gallstone attack when I eat a meal with Saturated Fats in it but never when I eat foods with Mono and Polyunsaturated fats, like Avocados and the like?
