How do I make my boyfriend of two years leave?

He knew for a while now I didn't want to be with him. He won't leave. He tries so hard to keep me by doing things he knows that I need help with and it will be hard to say no. He tries to stay involved with my family and my kids. I finally want to be straightforward and tell him without hurting his feelings. Im ready to move on.
