Story for science fair?

Okay so for my science fair, I'm testing people's memory in different age groups. I am going to pick one story and read it to half of the 60 testers and have the other half of the people read it to themselves. Then I'm going to ask the subjects a set of questions about the story to test their memory. Any suggestions for the story?
